It’s funny how things get started.

Yesterday, I began a Facebook page to entice the producers of Glee to write in some friendships for Becky next season.  The idea came from a reader of my blog, Give Becky A Friend .

I love Becky’s character, and appreciate that Glee has included someone with Down syndrome and given her a less than traditional role.  But she is always alone and that needs to change.

So, a few minutes on Facebook, and bam – it’s off.  It’s a great idea and at the same time, so simple to do.

So today – a light read on UnitedMediaNow!  Please help get the ball rolling by going to Facebook and “LIKEing”  Glee – Becky Needs Some Friends .

It is a great opportunity for media to change the way society sees people with disabilities.
